ECE 344 Lab Notebooks

A Lab Notebook will be used to record observations during the execution of the experiment. Your notebook should reflect your progress and note any irregularities you encounter during processing. It does not have to include information which may be found elsewhere. References should be made to steps in this lab manual as they are executed. It is a very good idea to make a note whenever you update the electronic data files since the computer system administrators need a precise date if you ever need them to restore a backup of a file.

An engineer's notebook is an important record when things go wrong. Employers would like the educational system to develop good notebook skills in students because profits occasionally depend on them. Please practice your notebook skills and we will try to reward your efforts. With each report you will turn in your notebook. The reports may be written into the notebook.
