- In case of emergency, always call 9-911 and give the following information:
- Your name
- Location -
- Integrated Circuit Fabrication Laboratory
- Room 50Q, Basement of Everitt Lab
- 1406 W. Green St.
- Specific information about the emergency
- Determine type of spill (acid, base, solvent)
- If greater than 1 liter is spilled
- Evacuate the lab
- call 911 and explain the situation
- If less than 1 liter is spilled
- usher students out of wetlab
- designate one student to call lab director (3-8249)
- put on faceshield, nitrile gloves, apron, and follow the following instructions
- Acid Spill
- open acid spill cleanup kit
- follow directions on inside cover
- Base Spill
- open base spill cleanup kit
- follow directions on inside cover
- Solvent Spill
- open solvent spill cleanup kit
- follow directions on inside cover
- be especially careful if broken glass is present, it can puncture the gloves
